Relasi Pendekatan Interpretasi Teologis Kitab Suci dengan Historis Kritis dan Teologi Biblika

Makalah ini ditulis untuk menjawab sebuah pertanyaan: apa relasi pendekatan Interpretasi Teologis Kitab Suci (ITKS) dengan pendekatan historis-kritis dan teologi biblika? Historis-kritis sering dipandang sebagai musuh dari ITKS, tetapi sebaliknya, teologi biblika sering dipandang sebagai saudara kembarnya. Melalui penyelidikan literatur dan analisis teoretis, didapati bahwa pendekatan ITKS menolak studi historis yang hanya bertujuan untuk merekonstruksi sejarah dunia kuno yang sezaman dengan teks, tetapi justru sangat bergantung pada penyelidikan historis terhadap dunia di dalam teks. Pendekatan ITKS menjadikan studi historis teks ini sebagai langkah awal dari seluruh tugas penafsiran. Sementara itu, pendekatan ITKS berbagi keyakinan dengan teologi biblika, hanya saja memiliki fokus kerja yang berbeda. Pendekatan ITKS lebih berfokus kepada umat Allah di masa kini, sementara teologi biblika berfokus pada umat Allah dalam dunia teks.References
